Before SILF

The Bar Associations of the different courts in India represented the individual members of the legal profession in India. Law firms had not been historically represented in an organized manner.

A need was felt to form an association of this kind in view of various aspects of the practice of law that are peculiar to law firms in contra-distinction to the role of individual practicing lawyers.

Recognition

In a short period SILF has achieved many laurels amongst them being internationally recognized by International Bar Association (IBA), the UIA (Union International des Advocates) as well as by LAWASIA.
